Speaker: Mr. Paul Tschudi, EdS, MA, LPC -
This session discusses grief and loss not only at the end-of-life, but also in the context of the work we do as advocates and navigators. Our clients are often dealing with loss of their health, independence, and aspects of their previous lives. Mr. Tschudi lays out the key precepts for understanding the grieving process and offers practical ways that advocates can recognize and work with these feelings to help their clients.
Mr. Tschudi is the founding director of the End-of-Life Care Programs, which are multidisciplinary, online programs that emphasize the psychosocial aspects of grief and loss, spirituality, the "business of dying," and caring for the caregiver. Mr. Tschudi has worked for many years with people experiencing life-challenging illnesses, grief, and bereavement. He has had a private grief counseling practice and served for four years as the executive director of the St. Francis Center (now the Wendt Center), which counsels and educates people living with loss and illness.
